Margaret “Maggie” was raised in a military family and lived around the world before returning to Montana, where her family has roots spanning five generations. She attended Flathead Valley Community College and the University of Great Falls, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education. She later received her certification as a Library Media Specialist from Montana State University. Before attending law school, Maggie spent 12 years teaching and working as a school librarian in small rural schools throughout the Flathead Valley.

Maggie attended the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana. During law school, she interned with Moore, Cockrell, Goicoechea & Johnson, P.C., for two summers. She also completed her final semester as a clinical intern with the Flathead County Attorney’s Office, where she worked with prosecutors in Justice and District Court and gained hands-on courtroom and trial experience. Maggie and her husband, Christian, enjoy exploring Montana and its history with their three sons. They also enjoy skiing, hot springs, and summer days on the water
